Edition #15, April 2010
This month we pay particular attention to the event we’ve all been waiting for – the World Cup. We thought you would like to know what your peers were doing and so we have included findings from our recent HR survey. You will see that I have included my own comments around the event and invite you to share your thoughts and plans with us.
I look forward to engaging with you soon.

Companies could be doing more for the Cup
A survey recently completed by CRS Technologies has shown that many local companies are implementing a noair travel policy. However, only a few have made allowances for workers not showing up due to transpordisruptions, absenteeism and other extraneous factors.
Highlights of the survey include:
- Very few employers are considering allowing employees time off
- Many of our clients are considering the introduction of a policy of no air travel except for emergencies
- Some have confirmed that they will be aiming for little or no labour negotiations
