Development
Jacques Cilliers, R&D Manager
I grew up in the Bushveld, and matriculated in Pietersburg. After school I studied computer science through Unisa. I joined CRS in 1999, and I was involved in rewriting the CRS AS/400 system for the Windows environment. I now look after the R&D Department, where we are passionate about software development, while not forgetting to have fun along the way. At home I'm the father to a lovely princess and a very active little boy. Although I'm a couch potato most of the time, I also play a bit of golf, and I like adventurous challenges such as parachuting and diving.
Dennis Strydom, Team Leader
I originally came from the Eastern Cape, but as a young child I came to Cape Town on a school trip and decided that this is the only place to live. I have been in this field for a very long time - my first experience was with punch cards in 1982, and I joined CRS at the beginning of 2004. I love the challenges and creativity that comes with the job and am a proud member of the R&D Team. I can often be found with a glass of red wine in one hand and a hammer drill in the other over a weekend. I find that this contrast helps to keep a happy balance between brain and braun.
Annesie Fourie, Developer
I joined CRS in 2002 as part of the development team. Prior to my career as a professional geek, I led a life of quiet dignity as a traveller, disc jockey, paintbrushmaker, jewelry seller, bookpacker and law student. These days I am saving the world one SQL statement at a time, diligently coding away on Workplace Skills Plans, Employee Relations, and Menu Level Securities. When I'm not behind my laptop, I am busy climbing mountain sides, spinning tunes, or accumulating books, cats and identical black skirts.
Collen Smook, Q & A Team Leader
Since the beginning of 2005, I had the privilege of working in a great team learning & developing my career as a software tester. Having studied Computer Systems Engineering & exploring the world I see myself as a well integrated member of the CRS team adding the required skills in creating a successful product. I believe in a well balanced lifestyle and if I'm not working you would probably find me dangling from a rope or climbing the highest peak in our beautiful city Cape Town.
Danie Olivier, Developer
I joined the CRS family in 2005, after completing my degree in Software Development at the then PE Technikon. The first thing that struck me about CRS was the great group of different, dedicated people making up the CRS family, which is one of the reasons that I am still here today. I am responsible for programming, client installations, technical support and documentations. I love the outdoors, especially the sea - hence my favorite pastime: fishing.
Luther Arendse, Junior Developer
I joined CRS in 2008 and am a proud member of the DIY development team. I am extremely passionate about the company, and when not at work can be found on the athletics track, on the rugby field, in the gym..... Needless to say - my biggest dream is to be a member of the Olympic team.
Gary Kruger, Junior Developer
I began working at CRS in May of 2008 and am extremely passionate about what I do, so hence I do it with a great deal of energy, innovation, creativity and zest. I am currently studying towards my Diploma in Information Systems & Software Development, and believe that this will assist me to approach my work with a great deal of confidence. In my free time, I enjoy socializing with family and friends.
Lorenzo Adrian, Q & A

I’m very excited to be a part of the Development Team and I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution to the Q&A side of things.
